A Safe and Gentle Treatment
This treatment is a well respected and excellent way of aligning the whole body. Although simple in approach, it is very effective and uses only the practitioner's hands. By restoring correct alignment and consequently the nerve functions, this helps to remove painful symptoms.
One of the benefits is that treatment is relatively gentle and comfortable to receive. Nothing is ever forced into place, but the body structure is eased into correct positioning using gentle but highly efficient realignment techniques.
Who is it Suitable For?
Due to the gentle nature of the treatment it is suitable for people ranging from babies through to the elderly. It is also ideally suited to people from all lifestyles, from housewives and business people through to keen sports players and professional athletes.
Problems that may be Treated
A wide range of problems may benefit from this treatment, and some of these include:
- Pain, discomfort, and stiffness in the joints and bones
- Back and shoulder pains
- Most sports injuries including tennis/golfers' elbow, knee and ankle problems
- Sciatica and trapped nerves
- Accident and whiplash type injuries
- Stress related problems
- Migraines, headache and sinus problems
- PMT and pregnancy pain
What happens during Treatment?
During the first consultation details of your symptoms, health, lifestyle, occupation and pastimes are taken. After an initial assessment is made, the therapist uses their hands to gently realign the body where this is required. After the initial consultation and treatment further treatments are usually required. The whole body is assessed and treated whenever necessary.
How many Treatments are Needed?
The number of treatments necessary will vary considerably depending on your age, health, lifestyle, and the length of time the problem has been untreated. However, most people show an improvement anywhere between two to six treatments.
Identifying your Problems
Do you realise how often during a day you place unbalanced loads on your body? Part of the treatment includes identifying those actions that may be causing your current pain, and also highlighting those that may cause problems in the future. For example carrying a heavy handbag on one shoulder, brief case or toolbox may cause imbalance, as can vacuuming, racket sports, golf, plastering, etc. Some causes are so subtle that you will not even know it has happened until you start to feel discomfort and pain.
Most people are surprised to learn that stress is the second biggest cause of pain after physical injuries. Advice will be given to help you to avoid or minimise future problems.
Give your body a Check-Up
Even though you may not be presently experiencing pain, your body may still be misaligned. Think of all the accidents you may have had over the course of your life - these all play their part, and may eventually lead to discomfort, pain and arthritic changes. Regular check-ups or MOT's for your body will help to identify any problems or misalignments and rectify these before they have a chance to become painful. People refer themselves from all walks of life.
